TOXICOMETRIC EVALUATION OF ACUTE ACETIC ACID POISONING AGAINST THE BACKGROUND OF ALCOHOL INTOXICATION
Abstract
Acute poisoning with aggressive substances, particularly acetic acid, accounts for up to 60-65% of all intoxication cases. In 86.8% of cases, such poisonings occur alongside alcohol intoxication of varying severity.
To develop quantitative indicators and criteria for the objective diagnosis and assessment of chemical injury severity in combined acetic acid and alcohol poisoning.
A retrospective and prospective analysis of 140 episodes of acute oral acetic acid poisoning was conducted, of which 90 cases (64.3%) involved concomitant alcohol intoxication. Statistical methods included probit analysis and nonlinear regression to assess mortality risk based on free hemoglobin levels.
