Abstract

This thesis analyzes the communicative approach in teaching Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL), emphasizing its theoretical principles, classroom implementation, advantages, and limitations. The approach prioritizes meaningful interaction, integrated skill development, and learner-centered instruction. It enhances fluency, motivation, and intercultural competence but may lead to insufficient grammatical systematization and assessment challenges. The study concludes that combining communicative practice with structured language instruction ensures balanced development of both accuracy and communicative proficiency.
