Abstract

This article analyzes the historical evolution of modernization processes in Uzbekistan from early intellectual reforms to contemporary institutional transformations. It argues that modernization in Uzbekistan is a historically continuous and multilayered process shaped by indigenous reform movements, imperial legacies, and post-independence state-building. The study highlights how historical experiences such as the Timurid legacy, the Jadid movement, and the Soviet period collectively influenced today’s development model.
