Abstract

The fundamental laws of composition are objective in nature and are applicable to all types and genres of art. A student who masters these core laws gains the ability to conduct a comprehensive creative analysis of any work of art. The primary laws of composition include: the law of integrity, the law of contrasts, the law of typicality (innovation), and the law of subordinating all compositional means to the conceptual content.
