During the Shaybanid period (16th century), the construction of caravanserais and roadside infrastructure in Central Asia and Movarounnahr played an important role in economic development and strengthening interregional trade relations. These structures provided caravans and merchants with safe movement, storage of goods, and rest opportunities, while hydraulic installations in desert and steppe regions ensured water supply. The development of road and roadside infrastructure strengthened interregional trade relations, contributed to the development of cities, enhanced cultural and scientific exchange, and ensured the stability of both domestic and foreign trade. The study of this historical infrastructure helps to better understand medieval trade networks, transport systems, and economic policy in Central Asia.
