This article analyzes the practical applications of second-order surfaces — ellipsoids and paraboloids — in acoustics and architecture. The laws of sound wave reflection are proven through the optical properties of ellipses and parabolas. The "Whispering Galleries" effect and the operating principle of parabolic microphones are modeled from a geometric perspective, and solutions to practical problems related to calculating their phase synchronicity and metric dimensions are presented.
