This paper explores the contrastive linguaculturological and axiological features of colour phraseology in three typologically distinct languages: English, Japanese, and Karakalpak. While the primary nomination of colour is largely governed by universal neurophysiological constraints, the figurative and idiomatic levels are heavily dictated by ethno-specific cultural codes. Through a comprehensive analysis of phraseological units (PUs) and proverbs, this study identifies three distinct conceptual models: the psychological-ethical model in English, the religious-aesthetic model in Japanese, and the natural-social model in Karakalpak. The findings demonstrate how universal visual percepts are transformed into unique metaphorical frameworks that reflect the socio-cultural priorities and axiological dominants of each respective speech community.
