Abstract

Arterial hypertension is one of the most widespread chronic diseases worldwide and is considered a major risk factor for the development of cardiovascular diseases, stroke, myocardial infarction, and renal failure. The high prevalence of this condition and its associated complications necessitate the search for effective preventive and therapeutic approaches. In recent years, the use of biologically active supplements has attracted considerable attention as a promising component of comprehensive hypertension management. Biologically active supplements containing vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, and plant extracts may contribute to improving vascular function, reducing oxidative stress, and maintaining normal blood pressure levels. This article analyzes the significance of biologically active supplements in the prevention and treatment of hypertension, their mechanisms of action, and their role in clinical practice.
