CYBERSECURITY AND INTERNATIONAL LAW: LEGAL MECHANISMS FOR RESPONDING TO CROSS-BORDER CYBER THREATS
Keywords:

Cyber threats have become one of the most significant global security challenges of the digital era. Cyberattacks can disrupt critical infrastructure, steal sensitive data, manipulate information systems, and threaten national security. Unlike traditional forms of aggression, cyber operations often cross borders instantly and anonymously, making attribution, jurisdiction, and legal response difficult. This thesis explores how international law addresses cybersecurity and whether existing legal mechanisms are sufficient for dealing with cross-border cyber threats.
