Abstract

Inflammatory periodontal diseases rank among the leading conditions in the structure of dental pathology worldwide and remain a significant medical and social problem. According to estimates, various forms of periodontitis affect 3.5–3.8 billion people, while severe periodontitis occurs in approximately 20% of the adult population. Chronic generalized periodontitis (CGP) is accompanied by alveolar bone resorption, pathological tooth mobility, and occlusal imbalance, which leads to reduced masticatory efficiency, deformation of the dental arches, and an increased need for comprehensive periodontal and prosthetic rehabilitation. At the global level, technologies for the comprehensive treatment of CGP are being actively introduced, including various interventions, splinting techniques, prosthetic constructions, and digital diagnostic methods.
