A METHODOLOGICAL FRAMEWORK FOR ENHANCING LEXICAL COMPETENCE IN PRE-SERVICE FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHERS BASED ON PERSON-CENTERED EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES
Abstract
In contemporary foreign language education, the professional preparation of pre-service teachers has gained increasing importance due to the growing demands of globalization and multilingual communication. Among the core components of professional competence, lexical competence occupies a central position, as it directly influences communicative effectiveness and pedagogical performance. Lexical competence involves not only the knowledge of vocabulary items but also the ability to use them accurately, appropriately, and fluently in different communicative and instructional contexts. Recent developments in educational theory emphasize the necessity of shifting from traditional teacher-centered instruction to learner-centered and person-centered educational technologies.
