Abstract

Despite the high prevalence of GSM, the condition remains underdiagnosed and undertreated. This review summarizes current evidence regarding the epidemiology, pathophysiological mechanisms, clinical manifestations, diagnostic approaches, and modern treatment strategies for GSM. Particular attention is paid to hormonal and non-hormonal therapies, as well as emerging therapeutic approaches aimed at improving patients' quality of life. The available evidence indicates that early diagnosis and individualized management are essential for achieving optimal clinical outcomes and preventing disease progression.
