This study is devoted to the analysis of the cognitive-semantic system of Uzbek-English economic terms and the identification of their conceptual compatibility features. The study studied the semantic structure of economic terms in two languages based on a comparative and cognitive approach. As a material, 15 economic terms selected from the "Explanatory Dictionary of Economic Terms" were divided into three conceptual groups and analyzed. As a result of the study, it was determined that the semantic equivalence of economic terms depends not only on their lexical meaning, but also on their conceptual structure, functional function and cognitive content. The results obtained are of significant scientific and practical importance in systematizing economic terminology in the Uzbek language, creating bilingual terminological dictionaries and improving the quality of machine translation.
