SEMANTIC AND STRUCTURAL FOUNDATIONS OF LEXICAL GROUPING RELATIONS IN THE UZBEK LANGUAGE

Abstract

This article examines the semantic grouping of lexemes and the nature of lexical grouping relations within the Uzbek lexical system. Particular attention is paid to the semantic features that unite lexemes on the basis of common semes and distinguish them through differential semes, as well as to the relations between lexical nests and subgroups, genus–species and paradigmatic relations. The hierarchical structure of lexically related units is also analyzed using phytonyms and zoonyms as examples.
