Abstract

This experimental study was carried out at the Department of ENT in the Samarkand State Medical University using fifteen healthy adult male rabbits. The animals were maintained in the institute’s vivarium for periods ranging from one to six months. Throughout the experiment, the respiratory system was exposed to the aerosolized pesticide chlorpyrifos. The findings revealed bronchial inflammation, alveolar edema with fluid accumulation, increased lymphocyte proliferation, intensified inflammatory responses in the lymph nodes, and necrotic changes within the medullary region. These results confirm the harmful effects of chlorpyrifos following both short-term and prolonged exposure, highlighting its environmental toxicity and adverse impact on biological health.
