Abstract

This thesis examines the relationship between the use of digital banking products and the quality of human capital in Uzbekistan’s banking sector. While digital technologies provide new opportunities for improving efficiency and customer experience, their successful implementation depends heavily on the digital skills, competencies, and adaptability of bank employees. Drawing on international research and sectoral analysis, the study finds that banks with strong human capital development–particularly in digital literacy, problem-solving abilities, and continuous learning–demonstrate significantly higher adoption and performance of digital banking products. Conversely, institutions with weaker human capital capabilities experience slower digital transition, operational challenges, and lower customer engagement. The analysis highlights that human capital is not merely a supportive factor but a strategic driver of digital transformation outcomes. The study concludes that Uzbekistan’s banking sector must prioritize digital skills development, lifelong learning systems, and institutional capacity-building to achieve sustainable and competitive digital growth.
