This thesis examines the challenges and constraints associated with implementing green finance in Uzbekistan. The study analyzes regulatory, financial, institutional, and market-related barriers that limit the expansion of green financing mechanisms, including gaps in green taxonomy, limited access to long-term funding, weak project pipelines, and insufficient risk assessment and impact measurement frameworks. The findings indicate that, despite growing policy commitment and pilot initiatives, green finance adoption remains fragmented and constrained. The study concludes that coordinated reforms, capacity building within financial institutions, and alignment with international green finance standards are essential to scale up green financing and support sustainable development in Uzbekistan.
