Abstract

This article analyzes the features of linguistic representation of cultural and educational life in Uzbek journalistic texts of the early twentieth century from a sociolinguistic perspective. Based on the works of Jadid publicists, the study examines the reflection of social, political, and spiritual processes in journalistic discourse. Journalistic texts are analyzed according to historical-social, social-differential, journalistic code, lexical-social, and diachronic-comparative principles. In addition, the functions of language as an educational, moral, and social consciousness-shaping tool are revealed. The research findings contribute to identifying the sociolinguistic characteristics of Uzbek journalism during the period of national awakening.
