LEXICAL CHUNKS IN METHODOLOGICAL TEXT COMPREHENSION
Keywords:
lexical chunks; text reconstruction; methodological reading; semantic anchors; discourse comprehension; involving multiple researchers; reduce bias.Abstract
This article presents a method for enhancing comprehension of methodological texts through the identification of lexical chunks and text reconstruction. Learners infer meaning, identify key expressions, and reconstruct text fragments while maintaining logical coherence. Multi-word units function as semantic anchors, helping learners capture the core argument. A sample analysis of investigator triangulation demonstrates chunk selection, definition, and application in reconstruction tasks. This method promotes discourse awareness, deepens comprehension, and strengthens vocabulary retention.
