HOW FEASIBLE IS THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PERSONALIZED MEDICINE IN UZBEKISTAN FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING NON-COMMUNICABLE DISEASES?
Abstract
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and cancer, are among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, and Uzbekistan is no exception. According to recent statistics from the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and the World Health Organization, the prevalence of these diseases has been steadily increasing, placing a significant burden on the healthcare system. Traditional “one-size-fits-all” approaches to treatment often fail to consider individual differences in genetics, lifestyle, and environmental factors, which can lead to suboptimal outcomes and adverse side effects.
