Authentic materials are increasingly recognized as valuable resources in language instruction because they expose students to real-life language use and communicative contexts. By bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, this paper examines how the integration of authentic materials into high school classrooms enhances students’ linguistic competence. The study highlights improvements in vocabulary acquisition, cultural awareness, and communicative skills through the use of real-world sources such as news articles, advertisements, films, and other media texts. In addition, the paper addresses potential challenges associated with implementation, including issues of resource accessibility, linguistic complexity, and pedagogical adaptation. Practical solutions and instructional strategies for effective classroom integration are also proposed.
