Abstract

Oral cavity hygiene plays a critical role in the long-term success of dental implants and the health of surrounding soft tissues. Poor oral hygiene is associated with the accumulation of bacterial biofilm, which can lead to peri-implant diseases such as peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis. This article examines the relationship between oral hygiene practices and implant outcomes, highlighting the importance of preventive care, patient education, and regular maintenance. The findings suggest that effective plaque control and professional monitoring significantly reduce complications and improve implant longevity.
