CHANGES IN BCL-2 EXPRESSION IN LYMPH NODES IN RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS
Abstract
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic autoimmune inflammatory disease that causes profound morphofunctional alterations not only in the joints but also in the peripheral organs of the immune system. One of the key pathogenetic mechanisms underlying the development of this disease is the disruption of the balance between immune cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptotic processes. Peripheral lymph nodes play a leading role in pathological processes as primary sites of immune response formation.
