Abstract

The rapid development of digital technologies has significantly transformed modern educational practices, particularly in the field of foreign language teaching. Digital learning materials have become essential tools for improving the effectiveness of English language instruction by providing interactive, flexible, and learner-centered educational opportunities. However, the abundance of digital resources available on the internet creates challenges related to the selection, evaluation, and systematization of educational materials. This article examines the principles and pedagogical foundations of selecting and systematizing digital learning materials in English language teaching. The study analyzes the criteria for evaluating digital educational resources, including relevance, authenticity, interactivity, accessibility, methodological value, and technological compatibility. Particular attention is given to the organization of digital materials according to language skills, learners’ proficiency levels, educational objectives, and instructional methodologies. The article also explores the role of multimedia technologies, online platforms, mobile applications, and authentic digital resources in enhancing listening, speaking, reading, and writing competencies. Furthermore, the paper discusses challenges associated with information overload, technological inequality, and teachers’ digital competence. The findings demonstrate that effective selection and systematic organization of digital learning materials contribute significantly to improving language acquisition, learner motivation, independent learning, and communicative competence. The article concludes that successful integration of digital educational resources into English language teaching requires pedagogical planning, methodological support, and continuous professional development for educators.
