Abstract

In this article, the main role of the pile drum and the mesh surface in cleaning wool fibers from small impurities is played by the pile drum. The diameter and length of the piles are important in increasing the cleaning efficiency. Because the cleaning efficiency is higher when the flow of wool fibers passing through each pile drum is cleaned from small impurities, mainly when the wool fibers with a high degree of dirt fall on the pile drums at the beginning of the cleaning.
