Abstract

This article examines the pedagogical role of national values in developing patriotism and national pride among pupils. Patriotism is interpreted not as a ceremonial slogan, but as an internal civic, moral and cultural orientation linking the learner with homeland, historical memory, language, traditions and social responsibility. The study relies on Uzbek pedagogical thought, especially R. A. Mavlonova and O. Musurmonova, and uses theoretical, axiological, comparative, observational and reflective methods. The results show that national values strengthen pupils’ sense of belonging, civic responsibility and respectful national self-awareness when they are integrated into lessons, extracurricular activities, family cooperation and community practice.
