Abstract

This article examines the cultural and semantic peculiarities of phraseological units in English and Uzbek languages. Phraseological units are considered one of the most expressive components of language because they reflect the historical experience, worldview, traditions, mentality, and cultural values of a nation. The research focuses on idiomatic expressions that reveal national-cultural identity and demonstrates how phraseological units preserve collective cultural memory through figurative meanings and metaphorical representations.
