Abstract

This thesis analyzes approaches to the translation of linguocultural units in literary texts, their theoretical and practical issues, using the example of Mark Twain's "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer". Linguistic and cultural units embody the historical development of society, cultural traditions, folk thought, and customs, which makes their translation difficult. In the translation of linguistic units in the work, it is found that it is important that the translator should study not only at the level of the language, but also in depth the level of national mentality, cultural code and folk thinking, as a result of which he should correctly and fully convey the colorot inherent in this work to the Uzbek library.
