The comparative study of grammatical systems plays a significant role in modern linguistics, foreign language education, and natural language processing (NLP). This paper examines the grammatical analysis systems of Japanese and English by comparing their morphological, syntactic, and structural characteristics. Although both languages serve as major international languages in different contexts, they belong to different language families and exhibit distinct grammatical features. The study also discusses the implications of these differences for computational linguistics. English grammatical analysis commonly relies on constituency and dependency parsing techniques. Japanese language processing, however, requires accurate morphological segmentation and the identification of grammatical particles before syntactic analysis can be effectively performed. Therefore, Japanese parsing systems often involve an additional preprocessing stage compared with English.
