Abstract

Congenital hypertrophic pylorostenosis (CGP) is one of the most common surgical pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract in children in their first months of life. Currently, Fredet–Ramstedt pyloromiotomy is recognized as the "gold standard" for treating this disease and provides high immediate efficacy. However, issues regarding the assessment of long-term treatment outcomes, the functional state of the stomach after surgery, children's physical development, and patients' quality of life remain a subject of scientific debate. The work presents an analysis of modern scientific data dedicated to evaluating the effectiveness of surgical treatment for congenital pylorostenosis. Particular attention was paid to the dynamics of patients' physical development, the restoration of gastric motor evacuation function, the frequency of late complications, nutritional characteristics, and children's quality of life at various stages after surgery.
