TYPES AND PHYSICAL-MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF MDI-BASED POLYURETHANE WASTES
Abstract
Polyurethanes are distinguished among modern polymeric materials by their high mechanical strength, elasticity, and resistance to aggressive environments. In particular, polyurethanes based on 4,4′-methylenediphenyldiisocyanate are widely used in the mining and metallurgical, mechanical engineering, automotive, oil and gas, construction, and transportation industries. However, the production and use of these materials generate significant amounts of waste, making their recycling one of the pressing environmental and economic challenges
