This article provides a comprehensive overview of the application of innovative nanomaterials in modern dentistry. Advances in nanotechnology have led to the development of dental materials with superior mechanical strength, enhanced biocompatibility, improved aesthetic properties, and significant antimicrobial activity. Nanocomposites, nano-hydroxyapatite, and nanostructured implant surfaces have shown promising clinical outcomes in restorative, preventive, and implant dentistry. In addition, antimicrobial nanoparticles contribute to the reduction of oral biofilm formation and secondary infections. Despite these advantages, challenges related to long-term safety, toxicity, and regulatory approval remain unresolved. Future perspectives include regenerative dentistry, smart nanomaterials, and personalized dental care approaches. Continuous research and clinical validation are essential for the safe and effective integration of nanomaterials into routine dental practice.
