Abstract

Hemorrhoidal disease affects approximately 11-13% of the adult population worldwide, significantly impacting quality of life. While hemorrhoidectomy remains the gold standard for grade III-IV hemorrhoids, postoperative pain remains a major limitation. Recent evidence demonstrates that ultrasonic scalpel techniques significantly reduce postoperative complications compared to conventional methods.
