SOCIO – PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS OF THE GENDER PHENOMENON: GNOSEOLOGICAL AND ONTOLOGICAL APPROACHES

Abstract

This article analyzes the socio-philosophical essence of the gender phenomenon, its stages of historical formation, and its role within the modern scientific paradigm. The research examines the transition from biological determinism to social constructivism, alongside the perspectives of scholars such as R. Stoller, A. Giddens, and J. Lorber regarding the introduction of the gender concept into scientific discourse. The concluding part of the article elucidates the gnoseological, ontological, and praxeological aspects of gender, interpreting it as a mechanism for ensuring social justice and gender equality in society
