Chronic coronary heart disease is one of the most common diseases with high mortality rates in the world, and its etiology and pathomorphological features still remain an urgent problem. Differences in risk factors in different countries and populations form specific morphological changes in the myocardium, which necessitates an in-depth study of the pathogenetic mechanisms and early morphological substrates of the disease. In a morphometric study, myocardial microarrays were digitized on a NanoZoomer scanner, and the resulting microimages were analyzed using the QuPath-0.5.0 and ImageJ programs. In chronic coronary heart disease, age-related growth of fibrous structures in the myocardial stroma was revealed, while their volume increased by an average of 4.41 times in the age groups of 18-44 years and 75-90 years.
