ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF A COMPLEX TREATMENT REGIMEN FOR COMBINED FACIAL TRAUMA INCLUDING TRAUMEEL S
Abstract
Beyond clinical and biochemical outcomes, the economic dimension of any proposed treatment modification is an essential consideration for its broader adoption into routine clinical practice, particularly within healthcare systems operating under constrained resources. The introduction of an adjunctive pharmacological agent into an established surgical treatment pathway inevitably raises the direct cost of treatment; however, this additional cost may be offset, or even reversed into a net economic benefit, if the intervention meaningfully reduces complication rates, shortens hospital stay and rehabilitation time, and accelerates the patient's return to work capacity.
