This study examines the theoretical and practical issues of terminology in Turkic linguistics, particularly focusing on Uzbek and Karakalpak languages. Special attention is given to the problems of multiple terms representing a single concept, excessive use of complex terms, and insufficient utilization of native language resources in term formation. The research highlights the importance of semantic clarity, unambiguity, and conciseness as key principles of effective terminology. The paper also reviews the contributions of prominent scholars such as U. Tursunov, A. Khojiev, and S. Ibragimov in the development of terminological studies. Their works emphasize the need for systematization and standardization of terms, as well as the role of national linguistic resources in creating scientifically accurate terminology.
