Abstract

Simultaneous interpretation of  legal terminology from Uzbek into English is a sophisticated and multi-layered process involving more than sheer linguistic equivalence. Legal interpretation requires a careful balance between linguistic precision, cultural-sociolegal context, and pragmatic function. In the realm of law, words are not merely vehicles of general communication. Legal terms and phrases often represent specific, codified concepts within a particular jurisdiction. For interpreters and legal translators working between Uzbek and English, this specificity can be fraught with challenge, since each legal system possesses distinctive structures, traditions, and terminological frameworks.
