Abstract

The assessment of hormonal receptor status has become an important component in the diagnosis and management of endometrial diseases. This study investigated the predictive significance of estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) expression in women with proliferative endometrial disorders. A total of 237 women aged 21–48 years underwent clinical, hormonal, ultrasonographic, histological, and immunohistochemical examinations. The findings demonstrated significant alterations in ER and PR expression among patients with endometrial hyperplasia, polyps, and chronic inflammatory changes. Reduced progesterone receptor activity was associated with increased proliferative potential and a higher risk of recurrent pathology. The results suggest that hormonal receptor profiling may serve as a valuable prognostic tool in the evaluation of endometrial disorders and contribute to individualized treatment strategies.
