Abstract

This study examines the socio-psychological mechanisms underlying adaptation to gender roles within contemporary society. The paper analyzes the theoretical foundations of gender equality, the influence of gender stereotypes on personality development in educational environments, and the role of normative and informational social pressures in shaping gender-role conformity. Drawing upon social psychological theories, including social role theory and social proof mechanisms, the study provides a theoretical justification for the positive impact of gender equality on social adaptation, academic motivation, and self-regulation. The findings suggest that reducing gender-based stereotypes contributes significantly to individual self-realization and psychological well-being.
