Abstract

This article examines the linguocultural features of phytonymic units in English and Uzbek languages. Phytonyms, as names of plants, reflect the cultural values, traditions, beliefs, and historical experiences of a nation. Through a comparative analysis of English and Uzbek phytonymic units, similarities and differences in their semantic, symbolic, and cultural functions are identified. The study highlights the role of plant names in shaping linguistic worldviews and preserving national identity.
