This expanded article examines the digital transformation of congratulatory texts in Uzbek and English communication. It focuses on the ways in which social networks, messengers, public comments, emojis, stickers, GIFs, hashtags, audio messages and visual posts reshape the traditional genre of congratulation. The article argues that digital congratulations are not merely shortened versions of traditional greetings; rather, they are multimodal, interactive and platform-dependent communicative acts. The study compares Uzbek and English online congratulations in terms of structure, politeness, cultural values, emotional expression, visual signs and translation strategies. Special attention is paid to the preservation of Uzbek concepts such as blessing, respect, family, household and collective well-being, as well as English communicative preferences such as brevity, personal achievement, informal encouragement and immediacy. The article also discusses problems that arise in translating digital greetings, including register mismatch, over-literal translation, emoji interpretation, loss of cultural warmth and the adaptation of religious or ceremonial formulas. The research concludes that translators and language users should consider platform, audience, visual context, pragmatic effect and cultural appropriateness when producing or translating digital congratulatory texts.
