This thesis provides a detailed review of the diagnostic value of arterial stiffness (pulse wave velocity), insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), and genetic markers in the early detection of ischemic heart disease (IHD). Molecular mechanisms and combined diagnostic performance are discussed based on current literature.
