Abstract

This article explores the verbalization of categorical-conceptual units in languages representing different typological systems. The study focuses on how prototypes, frame structures, and cultural semantics influence the linguistic expression of conceptual categories. Drawing on the principles of cognitive linguistics and typological analysis, the research examines the interaction between universal cognitive mechanisms and language-specific means of categorization. Particular attention is given to prototype-based categorization and frame modeling as tools for structuring conceptual knowledge within diverse linguistic and cultural contexts. The analysis reveals that while certain conceptual units demonstrate universal features, their verbal realization is significantly shaped by typological characteristics and culturally embedded semantic frameworks. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of cross-linguistic conceptualization and the role of culture in shaping categorical meaning.
