This study examines the psychological characteristics of the influence of emotional intelligence and volitional qualities on the formation of self-regulation processes in adolescence. Adolescence is a critical stage of personality development marked by emotional instability, behavioral impulsiveness, and the active formation of personal traits. In this context, the development of self-control and conscious behavioral regulation becomes particularly important. Emotional intelligence enables adolescents to recognize, understand, and manage their own emotions as well as to interpret the emotional states of others. Volitional qualities such as persistence, determination, responsibility, and the ability to overcome difficulties support goal-oriented behavior and effective decision-making. The study analyzes the interrelation between these components and their impact on self-regulatory abilities using psychodiagnostic methods. The findings indicate that adolescents with higher levels of emotional intelligence and well-developed volitional traits demonstrate better adaptability, stress resistance, and social competence. The results may be applied in educational practice, psychological counseling, and developmental programs aimed at enhancing adolescents’ personal growth and self-management skills.
