Abstract

Education systems around the world reflect deeply rooted cultural, philosophical, and social values. This article presents a comparative analysis of Eastern and Western pedagogical approaches, examining their foundational principles, classroom practices, teacher-student relationships, and learning outcomes. The study explores how Confucian-influenced Eastern pedagogy emphasizes collective learning, discipline, and rote memorization, while Western pedagogy prioritizes critical thinking, individual creativity, and student-centered instruction. Drawing on international research and educational frameworks, the article identifies key strengths and limitations of each approach and proposes that a hybrid model, integrating the most effective elements of both traditions, may best serve the demands of 21st-century education.
