Abstract

This article examines the processes of borrowing and linguistic adaptation of business terminology in English and Uzbek, with a particular focus on calquing and transliteration. In the context of globalization and the rapid development of international business, English has become a dominant source of terminology for many languages, including Uzbek. The study analyzes how business-related lexical units are transferred, adapted, and integrated into Uzbek, highlighting phonetic, morphological, and semantic changes. The paper also explores the functional role of borrowed terms in professional communication and their impact on the development of modern business discourse.
