This thesis examines the methodological foundations for enhancing the professional competence of future doctors through cardiology instruction. The study is grounded in the understanding that cardiology, as one of the core clinical disciplines in medical education, creates broad opportunities for integrating theoretical knowledge, practical skills, clinical reasoning, communication, and professional decision-making. The thesis identifies key methodological approaches that ensure the effective development of professional competence, including competency-based, integrative, learner-centered, contextual, and practice-oriented approaches. Particular attention is paid to the didactic potential of clinical case analysis, simulation-based learning, reflective tasks, and competency-oriented assessment in the teaching of cardiology. The findings indicate that the methodological improvement of cardiology instruction contributes to strengthening students’ professional preparedness and promotes the formation of sustainable clinical competence in future physicians.
