Abstract

This article examines the structure and pedagogical significance of a model for developing ecological culture among future EFL teachers within sustainability-oriented higher education. The study emphasizes the integration of ecological awareness, reflective learning, interdisciplinary interaction, sustainability-oriented communication, and competency-based teacher preparation within a unified pedagogical framework. The findings demonstrate that the proposed model creates favorable conditions for developing ecological responsibility, environmentally conscious pedagogical behavior, and sustainability-oriented professional competencies among future English language teachers. The research substantiates the necessity of systematic pedagogical models for integrating ecological culture into contemporary EFL teacher education.
