Abstract

This article examines the formation process of computer terminology in the Uzbek language from a linguistic perspective. Specifically, it analyzes the challenges of translation, transliteration, and linguocultural adaptation encountered when transferring computer terms from English into Uzbek. The study investigates the existing terminological norms in Uzbek linguistics, methods of word formation, and socio-linguistic factors that influence the development of national terminology. The findings demonstrate that Uzbek computer terminology remains unstandardized and continues to evolve. Based on these insights, the author argues for the necessity of a unified terminological policy.
